FRIDAY 12th OCTOBER AT GLOW SUKHUMVIT 23 ROAD
DJ PAULIE SIRISANT
Paulie was one of Thailand’s first pioneers to introduce the art of turntables to the masses in the 90s as a scratch DJ in a hardcore band “Shogun Jump” (Sony Music). He was often mistaken as a keyboard player as people couldn’t grasp the idea of turntablism alongside live instruments at that time. Paulie moved away from a scratch purist, embracing all aspect of bass music during the late 90s. He made a name for himself as Bangkok’s key p
layers in the drum and bass scene. He held residencies at Astra, Cafe Democ and Q Bar pushing sounds of nu-jungle.
Paulie moved to New York 3 years ago, where he was responsible for hosting some of the worlds best events in London, Sao Paulo, and Berlin as well as holding a Friday residency at NYC East Village’s infamous “Blind Barber”. He marks his return to Bangkok’s Drum and Bass at Phatfunk this October, playing music like the way it should be played, strictly on vinyls.
PHATFUNK RESIDENTS
The usual PhatFunk DJs Azek, Delorean, Instinct & Orawan, will be on support playing their usual mixed bag of treats.
