DJ EMMANUEL BIO:
Stemming from over 15 years of collecting a vast amount of vinyl and an innate obsession with all forms of music, Emanuel became deeply inspired by the thriving underground scene of San Francisco and Chicago and at just 17, took to the decks to cultivate the uniquely diverse sound he is known for today. While he started out playing at underground parties throughout Northern California, it was not long before he caught the eyes and ears of clubs and promoters alike. Soon after he was booked at many of the top clubs throughout San Francisco, including 1015, The End up, Liquid, Sunset parties, Groove Lounge with long time friend Miguel Migs plus.
After traveling to Thailand in 2000, he made the choice to move to the pulsating city of Bangkok, 8 yrs later he has become a key figure in the development of the Bangkok club scene, helping it become the global phenomenon it is quickly becoming. Emanuel’s name has become synonymous with Bangkok’s House music scene, both inside and outside of Thailand. He has been to places as diverse as Singapore, Burma, Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia and all over Thailand.
His weekly Wednesday Model’ night at Bed Supperclub in Bangkok has become one of the most talked about nights throughout Asia and he is regularly called upon to play among the top DJs in the world there i.e. DJ Roog, Kid Massive, Robert Owens, Rasmus Faber, Felix the Housecat, Dennis Ferrer, Martin Solvieg, DJ Gregory, Johnny Fiasco, Copyright, Knee Deep, Ian Carey, Oliver Lang, Born 2 Funk, Raul Rincon etc…
With a musical style that encompasses funky house, electro, tribal, tech and acid house, Emanuel’s love of music is vast and diverse. He has a strong emphasis on the technical aspects of deejaying, as well as his flawless programming of his sets, make him stand out from the rest. “For me… sharing the music I love and sending the crowds into frenzy is the ultimate high!” responds Emanuel “It was also the unification of all people regardless of race, sexual preference & religious background’s which attracted me to House music back in 1991.”
As well as DJing, Emanuel has been busy in the studio and has just put the finishing touches on his debut house productions.
At 37 years old proves he has the experience, Emanuel is truly a rising star in Asia dance scene and is a name to watch out for in 2011!
