In late November, the Alliance française de Bangkok will present Kejaj, a group of four musicians of “fest-noz†music from Brittany in northwestern France for a concert featuring Breton as well as Thai instruments.
Kejaj means blend in Breton
Kejaj is first and foremost a band with its roots in Brittany but whose approach has always been to mix musicians and music influenced by other traditions so as to create true “dance music.†Launched by Hervé Le Lu, Kejaj started in 1992, taking part in the “En Arwen†festival in Brittany. Over time, the group underwent many transformations, and it was only last year that it became the group it is at present.
