JANE Ooi
Originally from Malaysia, Jane is a qualified and awarded dance teacher with 13 years of experience in teaching kids and adults. Her great passion for dancing and broad training in different dance styles allowed her to become and International teacher and performer.
Her career started in ballet trained by the Royal Academy of Dance in Malaysia and achieving distinction in her RAD teaching certificate.
Jane moved to Hong Kong and successfully went through the teaching audition at the famous Jean May Wong School of Ballet. She also trained Jazz at the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Because of her Latin American Training Jane became fascinated by salsa while in Hong Kong. She started dancing on1 and converted quickly to ON2 after 6 months.
She was lucky to meet many experienced leaders and famous International teachers that spotted her talent and encouraged her to not only enjoy dancing but also inspire other salseros through teaching,
Jane quickly got admiration for her clear and simple teaching method as well as the exciting shines and footwork. After 2 years of salsa in Hong Kong she moved to Italy where she works on salsa choreographies and continues to develop her salsa skills with world renowned teachers.
