Presents…
CHANGE for SIAM
CHANGE for SIAM is a fundraising initiative that aims to raise awareness of amazing projects in Thailand in a fun & communal way.
Do you have a pile of change that lies on the side at home getting bigger and BIGGER? Will you ever use all those 1-Baht coins? Let alone your Satangs? STOP BEING SO WASTEFUL!
It’s time to put that change to good use for an amazing cause, so PLEASE take it out of the jar, the pot, the bag, OR the pocket… put it in a plastic bag and bring it to NEST on SAT 24 SEPT from 2PM!
We will then donate it to the FUTURE LIGHT CHILDREN’S HOME in Mae Sot, Thailand, It’s that easy!
To find out more please contact CfS founder Adam Sharpe:
adamsharpe_33@yahoo.co.uk / 0809245871
ENTRY IS FREE… But please bring your CHANGE for SIAM!
The heaviest bag of change weighed before 5PM gets a free bottle of Stoli Vodka!
What’s on!
NEST will open at 2PM and we have LIVE MUSIC all day from NEST residents ADAM SHARPE, JOHNNY O & some very special guests.
Expect SITARS, GUITARS, TABLA DRUMS and CAJONS, VIOLINS and UKULELES and a great time, It promises to be SPECIAL!!
MIAMI BEACH resident DJ Miami Boy as always spinning the tunes
Around 7PM there will be a short presentation by Future Light Volunteer and CHANGE for SIAM founder Adam Sharpe showing you exactly where your cash donations will go 🙂
Where our change can go
Future Light is not a registered charity – it is a home housing 45 Burmese refugees, 40 of which are children between the ages of 1 and 15. Your donations go directly to the kids – no-one is cutting a salary from your donations. To put things into perspective…
One pair of socks: 30 baht
One Mosquito net protecting 4-5 kids: 250 baht
One pair of shoes: 290 baht
One bag of rice feeds all 45 for 3 days: 750 baht
There is a broken water line in Mae Sot right now so water is costing us 300 baht per day for all 45 children and staff.
Our small change can make a BIG difference.
There on the day will be a number of Future Light volunteers for you to speak to.
To find out more detail about the children’s home and plans for the future please contact FL organizer & manager Jennifer Lo:
jen.a.lo@gmail.com
Any other donations such as clothing, food, medicine, and of course money will be very much appreciated.
Thank you, and see you there!
