Hey y’all
on Tuesday 26 July my friend Khun Chao and I will put on an evening of lush 70s & 80s Disco and some bumpin House music at Cafe Democ, on the corner of Democracy Monument, Rachadamnoen Road.
Apart from jamming most weekends at Viva Bar (JJ Market), this is my first DJ event in Bangkok and so we are quite excited to be given the opportunity to play some dope music for friends. Cafe Democ is a small but funky little joint, owned by the same guy who also runs Club Culture. He supports local DJ culture, but during the week the place is sometimes not that crowded…this means it’s up to us to bring along some friends for a good time. I think if we drum up a small crowd, it’s easy to fill the place, and we will be asked to jam again.
So please come, bring your friends and support us…. drinks won’t be expensive and the music will hopefully be something different to the same same Akon/Lady Gaga/Justin Bieber club hits that are played in every other bar.
