A bit about DJ MICK D;
Mick Derbyshire was born in 1974 in Manchester, UK.
He got his first turntables at the age of 12 and started off playing hip hop and scratching for breakdancers in the early hip hop days.
In the late 80′s, Mick Derbyshire (now known as MickD) discovered the house music coming out of Chicago and was immediately hooked.Since then, MickD has played at various clubs in the UK as well as spending some time in Ibiza where he enjoyed his residency.
These days, MickD retains his connection to the old school vibe of house music but blends it together in a mixture of funky, vocal, tech and deep house to create sets that carry the signature of a musically educated old school DJ.
Now living in Bangkok, Thailand – MickD has started his tour of south east asia and has so far played at the following nightclubs:
Lunar 36 (Vientianne, Laos), Ringside (Manila, Philippines), Glow Nightclub (Bangkok, Thailand), Butter Butter (Bangkok, Thailand), Shock 39 (Bangkok, Thailand), Lo-Shu (Bangkok, Thailand),
Sripoon Expresso Bar (Bangkok, Thailand), Hola (Bangkok, Thailand), Club Xperience (Bangkok, Thailand) and has also featured at the infamous ongoing LUSH Parties at various unique venues in Bangkok, Thailand.
